Ron Eldrige is a freelance writer, social commentator, business strategist whose writings have been published by ESSENCE.com, Rolling Out Magazine, Your Black World, and other publications.
His writings cover a range of topics, including but not limited to: politics, social justice, culture, Hip-Hop, feminism, and black male identity. He offers perspective on what it means to be young, black and male in the age of Obama, reflecting on current cultural standards of black manhood and exploring new ideas on how to define black masculinity moving forward.
Ron Eldridge is also president and CEO of his own business consulting firm, REldridge Consulting. Eldridge's firm specializes in integrated business planning, business development, and event management. Eldridge also handles initiatives in the areas of education, strategic partnerships, production and web and graphic design.
Eldridge is an experienced professional with a 17-year track record of strategic corporate business, successfully delivering results in a fast pace, high energy, and complex business environment. Prior to the launch of Eldridge's business ventures, he was responsible for project management and business development in the education and staffing industries. For more than 13 years Eldridge was responsible for advancing corporate growth strategies by building strategic alliances and partnerships with diverse business leaders, community advocates and governmental agencies. He has led project initiatives with The World Bank, Prudential, MetLife, Community Connect (BlackPlanet, Migente), and leading firms within the commercial real estate and advertising industries.
Eldridge is also dedicated to working in the community, he has partnered with several successful development campaigns raising awareness in support of outreach efforts. Eldridge is currently active in supporting The Love MikeNia Foundation, where he supports efforts in fundraising and outreach. He is also actively supporting the communications efforts of a Senate hopeful. Eldridge has been the recipient of many professional awards as a top producer in sales, and is poised to be a leader in philanthropy and organizational development.
In addition to his career, Eldridge is most proud of his faith in God. The eldest of two children, he credits his close-nit family with much of his success. Growing up in New York, he is particularly grateful for his uncle’s influence, who not only was his pastor, but his spiritual guide.
Eldridge is a US Army veteran and has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Mass Media from State University of New York - Old Westbury. In his spare time, he enjoys exercise, reading, playing basketball and speaking to young people. And soon Eldridge will add author to his resume as he completes his first book to be released by the end of 2013. Eldridge currently resides in Houston, Texas.
